SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Hometown: Edinburgh, Scotland

Short Bio: I graduated from the University of Aberdeen in June 2008 with my MA (hons) in History. I'm up for a challenge - the fact that I'm still learning ASL proves it. I'm a Harry Potter fanatic and I'm very proud of my Scottish roots.

Deaf Studies Concentration: Deaf History

Future Goals: I'd love to one day get a PhD and pursue further research in Deaf History, hopefully connected with eugenics in some way, maybe also related to growing up.

Research Interests: I love the early modern - modern period, and I'm fascinated by deaf history, particularly anything French or American, and connected to citizenship, eugenics or gender. I decided that I wanted to come to Gallaudet as it was the best place to emerse myself in Deaf culture and language, and thus hopefully I'd gain a better insight into Deaf-world.
